Going Solo.....

I will be exhibiting my artwork at York Street Gallery, Ramsgate, Kent 2nd - 9th December. The show will be a mix of portraiture and wildlife pieces, all of which are hand stitched. the return of the rainbow.....

dinky...

...dinky, dinky disco ducks! Soooooooooooooo cute! only 3.5cms tall and wide. Not surprising these were a challenge to disco, but I managed it. Come as a trio and can be found on my etsy site - artyemily

black is the new trend....

....2014 has seen me finally getting my hands on black tiles. I was commissioned last week to create 2 disco ducks in silver, blue and black...it took quite a search, so if anyone knows any suppliers in the UK please let me know.

I will be doing a limited edition of black incorporated designs, found only on my etsy site.

hometown exhibiting.....

...it's taken 13 years but finally I am having my first solo exhibition in my hometown of Ramsgate, Kent. It's a retrospective of the past 5 years work before I start on the new body of work and I will be in the Gallery everyday working on a new piece, come by and say hello! mum's the word.....

....on a top secret commission duck mission I have worked on recently. I was asked to make ducks specially made for a baby shower in the US of A, the themes were very personal to the mum to be: John Deere, teacher and the Northwest Bearcats.
Here are the finally 3 ducks, but sssh baby shower hasn't happened yet!

Exhibition....

....starts today! I have pieces old and new on display at Par Cafe, 115 St John Street, London, EC1V 4JA. Open 9-5 Mon to Sat and 9-4 Sundays. Runs next couple of months.

Margate Ducks......

Knitting is the new knitting.....

 .......everyone's at it don't ya know. Anyway myself and fellow Artist Jenny Duff are KnitterKnitKnitKnit and we are inviting Thanet and beyond to join us in creating beautiful and funky knitting and crochet to adorn our outside spaces. We have been visiting groups (knitting, WI and coffee mornings) across the Isle and they have been beavering away and made bunting and flowers which can be seen in the images below.  All ages and abilities are welcome to help out and don't worry if you can't knit or crochet we will be running free skill sharing sessions to learn and inspire! Our next sessions are at Ramsgate Library on the 15th June: 3-5pm and 16th June: 10-12pm pop in and craft, knit or natter.......if you can't make these then keep an eye on our facebook page for up to date information:  www.facebook.com/KnitterKnitKnitKnit
Our first display, weather permitting will be appearing in July in Margate but we will be producing two bigger displays for Ramsgate Arts 'Summer Squall' in Ramsgate during the August bank holiday. Get knitting folks!

A Summer Squall........

....takes place again throughout Ramsgate and further afield this year during the August bank holiday - 27th to 29th. The programme is all confirmed and can be collected at various local sites and tickets are ready to be bought! See the website for details: TICKETS (click on word). The disco ducks won't be appearing this year but I will be running workshops - check out the programme. But this fantastic event needs your help, please watch this VIDEO and help this greatness!
